Boys Go to Jupiter

Amazing animation! I love the message it brings, which I read to be "Capitalism is destroying our society making us greedy for money and power and everyone suffers from it's consequences." But the storyline itself could have been more catchy. Other than the beautiful visuals I was rather bored at times. This animation style with a solar punk kinda story would slap.

The Holdovers

I watched the Holdovers for the first time last year on Christmas. Since then, it became my favourite Christmas movie. I love how they don't ignore the grief that many people experience during this time of the year, instead giving you a cozy feel that communicates "you're not alone". Today, I just had to watch it again. It's so heart-warming and refreshing. I might have to turn this into tradition. :)

Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere

I loved this movie! It's so raw and Jeremy is an incredible actor. And now a singer too?! The trauma, the scene with the panic attack, it felt very real. And the way he realised Faye was right but wouldn't do anything about it, a true avoidant.

Waves

Very good movie. I love the cinematography, the actors, the MUSIC. I just wish the story would have circled back a bit more on Tyler. I felt that the second half of the movie lost it's track because so many things were happening at the same time that weren't related. But it's a really good representation of how actions have consequences and that no-one will save you but yourself.
