<i>All of Us Strangers</i> is the result of <i>Andrew</i> <i>Haigh</i> losing track of his narrative and being unable to return to his wheel house. Master of reflection (both personal and literal), he is a director absolutely capable of creating a hypnotizing story on torment but unfortunately he delved deep into this dreamesque purgatory and couldn't find his way back to the living world.
In one part of the movie <i>Adam</i> mentions the policeman who gave him the news of his parents passing. "a beautiful man with kind eyes" he recalls, as <i>Harry</i> looks at him with his sad ocean blue eyes. Harry very well could've been that policeman reimagined by <i>Adam</i> as the figure of a man who's ready to love him as his mother would. In the end he never moved past the memories of that traumatic night, did he? So it made a lot of sense for his lover to be a reminder of the only good thing about that tragedy, the fading memory of a kind face. <i>Harry</i>'s death reveal did nothing but break hearts.
There were brilliant moments of dialogue (particularly the queer vs. gay debate) but on the whole, the words were too tacky for me. I don't want to hear thousands of "I love you"s over and over. Give me more. Tell me how bad it hurt to lose a son.
That all being said, I should give credit where it's due and it's all for you, <i>Andrew</i> <i>Scott</i>. It's so magnificent to see him as the lead, after watching him steal the show as endearing supporting characters for decades, shining brighter than the light that engulfed his and <i>Harry</i>'s body on that bed.
The movie ends with a starry night. I saw it. I felt it. I wanted to cry. Memories, regrets, grief, love and the ability to move on. It's all we've got.

This was extremely heart wrenching. Wow. I watched because of the cast without knowing anithing about it and I found it so beautiful. Oof! It hit me hard.
