A deep emotional and intimate look into the relationship of our leads. And I think this might be the only film that made me cry a tiny bit? which never happens! But I guess it's a given when you have such a well made film with hypnotic actors, beautiful and brilliant visual storytelling with amazing score and a solid script.

I watched this because I hate myself and wish I could start over with her, or erase her. One of the two.

I saw this movie for the first time 10 years ago. I had a quest to watch the IMDb top 250 and was watching a lot of classics/great movies in a short period of time. I regret that in a way, because I guess at the age of 18, I really wanted to watch more silly action movies. Or at least I should have switched the classics up more with fun movies. On the other hand, it allows me to rewatch classics, a decade later, with a different look. I doubted quite a bit whether to give this a 4 or 4,5 star rating. It's a beautiful movie, the acting is great, it's original,... But I guess I'm not the biggest fan of surrealism. On the other hand I did feel like it was growing on me. I hope to rewatch this movie before 2034 and I'm pretty confident I'll give it a 4,5 rating then. To be continued!

<i>"What a loss to spend that much time with someone, only to find out they're a stranger."  </i> Inception <b>WISHES</b> it was this good.  They were like "how do we make Jim Carrey look depressed" and then the hair stylist said "Watch me."  Daddy Ruffalo dancing in his underwear? Oh, it's a perfect movie.  Omg the relationship drama OUTSIDE of Joel and Clem was just pure CHAOS. That itself could've been its own movie.  I was so absorbed in this movie omg. Very well edited and I can't IMAGINE what filming this must've been like.
