"You've got a lot of lousy courtroom manners, you know that?" What a screenplay! Outstanding across the board, from riveting drama to great comedy, impeccable dialogues, and exceptional acting - a truly top-notch experience in every aspect. The runtime just flew by, captivating and engaging throughout, leaving no sense of its 2h40m duration.

This fantasy romance movie revolves around Edward, who has scissors for hands, and the things that happen when he's taken in by Peg, a woman from the city. Writer & director Tim Burton has done a great job with this concept. He sticks to the story throughout it's runtime and doesn't stretch the movie unnecessarily. One of the most fascinating things about this movie is the set design. It is stunning beyond doubt and looks like something Wes Anderson would direct. Johnny Depp as Edward is just perfect. He shows the confusion & the scared feeling of a boy who stepped out for the first time ever, in a believable way. This makes up for a perfect family movie that no one should miss. Timothée is the new scissorhands and i'm looking forward to it because i'm pretty sure that he will nail this role too.
