The Housemaid will return in Avengers Doomsday!

finally moved into our new house and put the tv up so it was time to watch some slop 🤍 can't believe we are homeowners!! this was also the first time in 3 years we managed to get through a movie without pausing (other than in cinema), which is not a testament to the quality but rather quite random based on our daughter sleeping without waking up a single time!? it didn't hit us until the movie was done that we watched the entire thing undisturbed. anyways it's an interesting premise but quite predictable, and awful awful dialogue and screenwriting. the acting isn't that bad, I wish they'd gotten better material. even the sound effects and music is wild and horrid. kinda loved it. it's fun. life is worth living. this movie is an allegory for having a landlord living downstairs. this movie made me and my husband discuss Jane Eyre, which is a plus point cause i love Jane Eyre <b>part of:</b> <i><a href="https://boxd.it/Cud9o">2025 releases </a></i>

como o livro, bem mid pra ruim, mas entretém

Una película MUY OBVIA por momentos, pésimamente sobreactuada (Salvo Amanda que es una cosa de locos, como carrea toda la pelicula). Es la primera vez que veo actuar a SS más de 15 minutos y que la escucho hablar, no sé si tiene esa voz de niña o lo hace un poco a propósito, y lo único que sabe comunicar con la mirada es que te quiere cog3r. O al menos eso sentí toda la pelicula. Es mala pero para ser tan mala podría haber sido peor, me entretuvo un toque y eso se lo valoro muchísimo (APRENDÉ LICORICE PIZZA).

Not sure I'm reviewing the same movie here cause I thought this was pretty formulaic. Liked the very end though, LOL.

It was a great movie. I went in totally blind and the plot twist caught me by surprise. The only thing I didn't really like was Nina coming back to the house.

Not a bad movie per se, but many moments felt dumb. The writing sometimes seemed like something a high school girl would write while being butthurt 'cos a guy didn't like her. Amanda did a good job acting, but Sydney and the dudes (Andrew and the sexy gardener dude) were horrible. Cece actress was very good. All in all could've been written better (or at least with fewer clichés), and should've been a 1:40hr movie, not two hours. Also, the whole "men bad, women strong" shtick is getting old...

I'm so glad I watched it without reading the book, i was able to enjoy the entire movie on its own without comparing it to the book. i was on the edge of my seat during the whole movie, absolutely hooked.

Wait so how does this whole hitman thing work bruh. If guys start dying in every house she's employed in, wouldn't that be a problem 💀

A fantastic movie, with a perfect story, absurd plot twists, and the two lead actresses are perfect. I highly recommend it. The negative comments are from Karens and the TikTok generation who are envious of Sweeney.
