<i>“i specifically said i wanted honeysuckle sour kombucha, biiiiitch!”</i> still nothing more than fine on a rewatch. all of my same gripes are still here (and were amplified bc i knew what i was looking for) and i felt like i had a couple new ones to add to the list of “meh” plot points and character development pieces.  riley’s performance is actually incredible, and i think the reason i failed to highlight it last time is bc it was so good that i didn’t realize it was actual dialogue for the movie. everyone else has bad lines that stick out enough for me to notice them, but all of hers were well-timed and delivered wonderfully that they blended into the environment. props to her! (also literally me when i watched the eras tour movie) the dialogue blowing harder than monica lewinsky aside, the cinematography’s still great and the soundtrack still positively accents whatever remnants of a plot there are in the film. nonetheless, i am so very glad kid cudi’s in this and wish he had more screen time. worse on a rewatch but still aggressively stomachable.

shyamalan makes his way through the DSM 5 again in search for a new hit - this time with added nepotism all jokes aside, his daughter can sing really well also josh harnett is a capital d DILF in every second of this so like, it's extremely watchable. he's just a gorgeous man really. just a completely okay film

It's an entertaining movie but there was so much more potential. Everybody, except the kid weirdly enough, talks like a robot (I actually thought Josh Hartnett would be revealed to be a robot as the twist). I think Hartnett is a good actor but I didn't think he was good in this. Also the last 15 minutes orso were boring to me. And why were there so many kids sick at the concert lol.

I know a lot of people loved this, but it just wasn’t for me. I felt like the delivery from Josh Hartnett was way too out there. There’s no way you could convince me that people didn’t know that guy was a serial killer. In the beginning I thought he might be a predator with how weird and creepy he talks and acts. Also, after finding out that the singer in the movie is M. Night Shyamalan’s daughter, this whole things feels like a way to get her name out there rather than an attempt to make a good movie.

M. Night Shyamalan usually throws his twist later in the movie but it happens pretty early in this one so it became how was the rest of it going to play out. It was decently entertaining but probably not something I'd willingly watch again.

Entertaining. And Josh was so good in evil role haha

This film could have been a 8 or 9, but the Lady Raven actor is awful, such a shame.

I swear, M.Night just makes movies out of any vaguely interesting idea he (or someone around him) thinks of, and then just shoots it and makes it up along the way. Everything falls apart at some point. The idea of this movie is good, but the movie makes no sense, has no actual plot after they leave the concert, and is a big, almost two hours long ad for M. Night's daughter's below-mediocre music. Bad movie, 4/10

this movie has no redeeming parts. everything is bad in this movie. maybe it's made for today's teenagers, i don't know. it's like one of those roblox games where the most difficult thing you have to do is hop around. this movie felt like it was made for the same audience.

Honestly, this movie was so fun and entertaining to me! I went in with somewhat low expectations, but I was seriously chuckling and smiling the whole way through. The cast was great (Ariel Donoghue has a new fan!), and I enjoyed guessing and wondering what was gonna happen next although there wasn't anything too crazy to anticipate. I also loved that M. Night Shyamalan got to work so closely with his daughter Saleka on this! Some of her songs were pretty fun. I had no idea about their relationship until after watching. If you enjoy psychological thrillers (or just want to see Josh Hartnett in a new role because it's definitely worth it), consider giving it a try. Even if you end up hating it, I bet you'll get some laughs!
