Fascinating to see the imaginations of early 20th century about the moon and science on film, especially the ironic take on scientists as wizards through the costumes and set pieces.

toddler was laughing as she was watching this with me on my phone, but then the shot of the moon popped up and her face went dead serious. kinda looks like if the sun in Teletubies was dying or gravely ill. anyways this was... not very interesting plot wise but definitely impressive in its effects and stuff considering this shit is like 120 years old. first movie of the 1001 list!

Thinking about the amount of fun that the crew had while shooting for this!
