Snyder's style has always amazed me and there's a reason why he's one of my fav. directors !!
emotions + action + thrill + alpha zombies = Army of the Dead.
While this movie will get a lot of hate as it's the new cool to hate Snyder, and some people will try to compare this with other zombie flicks like 28 Days Later & Train to Busan. But this is a whole another movie which does not guarantee a masterpiece of some kind but atleast stays true to it's genre and nature. It is predictable at some moments but is a good action-thriller and a great watch for the weekend.
Now I've seen 2 new Snyder releases in 2 months, that's all the cinema i need.
Too much stupid and unreasonable plots and circumstances. Also, like any recent of his movies, there are many repetition and Snyder also dragged the third act, it became dull.
Snyder perhaps a good cinematographer, bit he is a bad writer.
I only watched this to see how well they replaced D'Elia with the superior choice, Tig Notaro. That alone was pretty entertaining. The movie is garbage, though.
Dawn of the dead is one of my favorite zombie movies so I was really excited for this!
I'm so disappointed... A stupid story where nothing made sense! If that boss only needed that head why did the others needed to die? They could just take the money and the head! Everyone happy... And why did those 3 chicks stay in that room?! They could try to escape... It's not like they were chained or in a locked room!
Not as bad as people are making it to be, just not as good as the rest of the Snyders movies.
Unique zombies, good cinematography and visuals, decent plot!
