definitely my type of horror - and I knew that going in but didn't wanna get my hopes up too much as it's not the best received film. the body horror was just great but unsuspectingly the shots of <i>other</i> horrifying stuff like the flashbacks/visions of his parents, her breathing at night and the dog is what really got me. one of those few movies that actually frighten me. the humor was there at times but not overwhelming so it didn't ruin it for me. it definitely has been inspired by <i>the substance</i> (which I infamously hated) but it kept the things I'd love and got rid of the things i hate ! not sure how I feel about the ending, but at least it made me smile and shake my head. some ari aster inspired stuff here as well, which I also didn't expect, but like I said previously, it also copied the good parts. honestly a really good movie for being so underhyped

I feel like this is a messed up movie to make as an actual couple. That being said, everything feels so natural. Dave Franco and Alison Brie were born to act side by side.
I am not really sure what to make of this... One the one hand, I thought Alison and Dave's performances were great, and I only learned they were married due to Hot Ones a couple of weeks ago, but I think it really helped add chemistry that worked, and I do not just mean the sex scenes.
All that said.. What the actual fuck was this movie about? Why did they merge like that, though I thought the whole fucking scene where he couldn't pull out fucking hilarious... I am so lost as to what the fuck caused it, I understand it makes them closer, blah blah blah, but what the fucking what?
