Better drama and better screenplay than the first one, but i still think that a series would have worked better for this whole story. There isn't much scope for action here, and it is underwhelming even when it is there just like it's predecessor. My biggest problem with both of the parts might be how the movie is about Ponniyin Selvan and i couldn't care less about him in either of the movies. There just seems to be no emotional connection, no character development, he's just there in as a sidekick. Only character i cared about is the one played by Vikram, literally loved him.
