how that 32 year old charles melton manages to portray the awkwardness, speech patterns and physical mannerisms of a young teenage boy astonishes me. this movie contains three of the absolute best acting performances ive seen this year imo. maybe my favourite julianne moore female pedophile movie, but I do love <i>savage grace</i>. girl knows how to play a pedo, i'll give her that

What an insane concept for a movie. The characters were all so troubled in their own ways, uniquely written to reveal this to us through the course of the movie. Juliane Moore so clearly sick in some way, manipulative and unstable. Charles Melton is emotionally immature and damaged from the growing up he was forced to do so quickly. And Natalie Portman, a devious actress who takes her profession a little too seriously, willing to destroy lives to put herself into her subject’s perspective. This was an example of great acting being enchanted by even greater character writing.

Just slow and boring. Waste of some excellent actors.

This was weird. Earlier in the film, when Natalie Portman’s character was looking up the Georgia sex offender register, there was one called Braydon William Athens. And the during the graduation ceremony, one of the graduates was called… you guessed it… Brayden William Athens.

I know this has a lot of good reviews, but I really did not like the movie. The movie was a bit hard to follow and I did not the the ominous music when it played. It was too loud at times and interrupted the scenes.
