was excited for this since We™ norwegians don't get nominated for academy awards often, but i have so many negative thoughts about this.
it's hard to watch a manic pixie being so unlikeable, and i don't know if that's on me since it's literally called the worst person i the world, but i couldn't relate or respect her at all. she's just so... male
i also just think i need to stop watching coming of age stories. i can't deal with these kinds of people, especially when they don't have an excuse (eg. being 17)
i did rate it a bit higher cause i like the cinematography, acting, i actually enjoyed the narration voiceovers and the way the film was divided. i just didnt like the plot itself.
it's like if a man wanted to write like sally rooney about women without knowing what it's like to be a woman
