There's just so much unforseen dignity and honor even among conmen!
Set in 1930s, the film brilliantly plays all of it's cards to near perfection in every cinematic department possible. The exaggerated but vibrant colorful visuals makes the production design strike out as much as possible to takes you to a different time and place altogether, especially when combined with an exceptional screenplay & dialogue that's filled with necessary authentic slangs. Not to mention the talented cast that play together so elegantly among themselves multiple times, thanks to the brilliance of script. But even among all that, what amazed me the most is how the film successfully manages to keep the intensity high and on throughout the whole film while being fun and not too anxious at all.
Revenge but funnier and entertaining. You can be funny without being silly, this movie is the perfect example of it.
When one of their buddies is killed, Hooker and Henry - with a detailed plan in their hands - set out to con Doyle Lonnegan. What follows is pure chaotic mad fun of 2h with it's fair share of suspense and twists.
