[7.1/10] I like the idea of this one, that Flame Princess is good at rapping but doesn’t really have anything to rap about, until she stops and thinks about her complicated dad situation, which gives her the power to defeat son of rap bear. There’s some silliness to the episode that I like, mostly the notion that the raps are so good, things started exploding, but overall, something was just missing in this one. Maybe it’s that the actual raps weren’t all that good, or that the premise was a little off. It’s nice to see FP confronting her dad (and to hear Keith David again), and to be able to appreciate some of the continuity nods, but overall, this one never really rose above “pleasant enough.”
