I really wouldn't class what Owen is doing as "emotionally cheating" or cheating at all, he's comforting a dying woman who he has a close connection with. He's holding her in the same way a close family member or friend would hold a dying loved one because she has no one else and he's the only person around she feels comfortable with. IF they kiss that's something else, but this episode I don't think he's doing anything wrong.
