I've read the book and feel like this was a pretty faithful adaptation, if not a bit shallow in comparison. Obviously they can't keep everything from the book, but I feel like it didn't have quite as much emotional weight or depth and only scratches the surface of how Sloane was preparing to kill herself right before this all started. Also her relationship with Rhys wasn't really developed either. But again, I think they squeezed as much in as they could, though I personally would not have minded if they made the movie 20 mins longer. Overall, I enjoyed it and it's always great to see a book I loved as a teenager on screen!

The New Guy

Watched this for the first time to get context for Simple Plan's I'm Just A Kid music video :3 (would've been cool if the video stunts referenced the movie more). It's a fun movie!

Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd

watching this makes me want to go back and rewatch their old DVDs. It was really interesting to watch, as someone who has been a big fan since their first album, and followed their career for pretty much that entire time. Hearing them talk about their different albums and recognising what they said about them in my own experience of them. Almost cried a few times. Little disappointed that I didn't make it into the documentary myself since I was at the show in Melbourne in 2024, but I did the side of stage vip 😔 Anyway, I'm excited for the release of the soundtrack too, I can't wait to add those previously unreleased tracks to my music library!!

Worth the Wait

I got to meet Osric Chau a few days ago and I fell a little in love with him, he told us he was in this and to watch it on tubi so here I am lol. It's a good movie, I enjoyed it!

Lisa Frankenstein

I really enjoyed this! The ending was perhaps a bit too morbid for me, but also I didn't realise there was going to be quite so much murder either lol, so I can see how it was the best ending for the story.
