I didn't think I would ever be so emotionally invested in a Western. This show has gripped me unlike anything else and had me bawling the last two episodes.. What an amazing performance, story and cinematography. Wow!
I look forward to watching the story of the next generation of the Dutton's.
I did watch S01E01 of Yellowstone but it didn't grip me like this, was actually a bit disappointed with it with the grown-up children with modern day first world problems. Does it get better?
When I watched Yellowstone, I sometimes thought John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was stupid not selling his land for millions and millions of dollars.
Yes it’s your family’s land. But come on, why do you fight for it so much when the world is against you and offering you money so you can retire and your descendants can live off the money in peace ?
But now I understand. It was never just land. It’s Elsa’s graveyard. And the Dutton family name is stuck to this land. It is beautiful writing.
The first season of 1883 was great, besides the Sam storyline that i didn’t really like because of the lack of chemistry (I prefered Elsa and Ennis’ chemistry), the rest was perfect.
Hope to see you all for Season 2 !
