Obake no Q-tarō

Japanese children's animation from the 1980s tends to hold a certain nostalgic warmth for people who grew up with it. I did not. Watched three episodes on a flight with no other options and found it perfectly harmless and entirely impenetrable. The ghost, I gather, causes problems. Then the problems resolve. I remain unclear on everything else.
