Taiwanese puppet theater adapted for television is, I'm sure, a culturally rich tradition. Without the context or language, however, I found myself watching elaborate costumes move through what appeared to be elaborate storylines, understanding approximately nothing. I respect the craft involved. I cannot honestly say I enjoyed the experience.
