Didn't know what to expect, kept me glued to the screen and I'll be thinking about this movie for a bit. Not a movie I'll rewatch anytime soon though.
I liked the first hour orso much more and thought the school shooting conversations were engaging. The cheating part was cliché and I could have done without that but overall I thought it was a great watch!
Wow. First off, that was a lot darker than I had expected. That being said, it was phenomenal. I feel like this film walks a very fine line between offenders and victims, and sometimes it may feel like it makes excuses for the offenders of a very particular tragedy. I understand this argument, but I think when you look at this for what it truly is, and that is a deep study on character and the distinction between love and infatuation, it becomes clear that this large social issue that encapsulates the film serves only to drive our characters forward, while of course doing its best to raise awareness for said issue. I also really enjoyed the disjointed method of storytelling. Lastly, Robert Pattinson absolutely killed. Zendaya was amazing of course, but Pattinson’s raw journey to darkness really wowed me.
