police procedural that just happens to have cenobites sounds weird, right? it is! but it's probably the best direct-to-video release in the franchise

This is the worst I have seen so far. Felt bored until the last 15 minutes, most of the plotlines were really obvious and some just didn't make sense at all. The cowboy scene was really funny to me, just two dozens of guys with cowboy hats sitting there, playing and saying not a single word. Sad that you have barely seen pinhead or interesting cenobites. The ones we saw were cool at first, though. I think the plot itself could have been so good, if done by a director who knows how to do it and actors who can actually act well. Male gaze is really strong here and you feel that the movie tries to be mysterious at first, to be very cool but artsy. It really didn't work out, the atmosphore worked here and there but in general it was a mess. BUT I have to say, the last scenes after pinhead apeared were great and I really liked the ending, something I say rather seldom about movies, even those I like.
