I really enjoyed this movie! Interesting characters and a good story make it a fun watch. Having said that, it could have used more Karate and putting LaPusso on the poster is a bad choice since he is barely in this. Since this movie came out at about the same time that Cobra Kai aired its last episode, I assumed we would see the further adventures of LaPusso and Johnny. But putting that aside, a fun flick!

Fresh, fast-paced, and fun. I don’t know much about the <i>Karate Kid </i>movies, but it seems like this did a great job at paying respect to previous films.

Absolutely love this movie. Had so much fun. Laughed practically cried. Yes so what if it’s a bit cliche? Karate kid is a legend. This movie is a great legacy. Absolutely love the originals, the next karate kids, and cobra Kai. But I think this movie adds a much needed light to the series. Absolutely love the Karate Kid universe.

Overall I found this a fun film, way better than I had expected, especially after the last movie... That said, I am guessing that Ben Wang has studied similar styles of martial arts as Jackie Chan, as watching him fight, especially in the alley scene towards the beginning, made me think of late 80's, early 90's Jackie Chan movies... The comical aspect with immediate bounce back, I really enjoyed his performance... The lessons where you have both Han and Larusso, I love the bickering, it is just fun, and i bet the two of them had a lot in those scenes. This movie was fun, way better than the 2010 remake, ties into Cobra Kai solely in the sense of carrying on Miyagi-Do, with Jackie Chan adding the Kung Fu, and it works. I also love Ming-Na Wen in her role, as minimal as it was, I just found the irony of Her banning martial arts hilarious, you know, being that She could kill me with an eyelash

I liked it would have been better with some of the Cobra Kai cast in it as well but yeah it was short and sweet. They kept the Karate Kid formula kind of anyway.
