I think Jim Cummings was hell bent on making a 90 minutes or less movie for no reason !! Too many subplots but Jim never tried to explore them fully, leaving the audience with an unsatisfied feeling. This makes it hard for anybody to feel for the characters. The movie tried to be too many things at once - comedy, horror, drama, but everything was misplaced. Even though all these aspects work individually with good comic timing, thrill and emotions but together they fail to live upto the potential the story had because of it's not so good editing and rushed screenplay. A random comedy scene, just seconds after a ruthless murder, doesn't work for me and I don't think it works for anybody. I understand what Jim wanted to do, i just think that he could've done this with a better screenplay and tried to develop the characters more without worrying about how long it's gonna take. With a few flaws, this movie still manages to work because of it's shorter runtime of less than 80 minutes !!

fargo-esque immediately came to mind. from reviews, most people seem to have a love/hate of the humor - i enjoyed the wry bleak farce of it all. also, people hated cummings' john marshall - i had no problem with it, especially since the character is an underappreciated egotistical recovering alcoholic, i felt the acting was fitting. im unfamiliar with jim cummings other works, but i enjoyed this outing of a werewolf whodunit

This was pretty enjoyable. It had a little bit of humor to break up some of the gorey practical effects.
