Formulaic but also extremely comedic, more so than any other time loop film. Even though it's not innovative and has already been milked to death, the movie still keeps us invested through the aforementioned Samberg's goofy comedy, necessary amount of cringe and through the relevation of the held out backstories of characters. Also, the contrast between the main characters just puts up a perspective on how you deal with your problems. But the only problem is how the lead never got to correct his mistake or is that supposed to be a joke? Because it's not funny and could've been better.

Great take on the 'groundhog day' movie, Samberg is perfectly cast in this role, and has a great on screen chemistry with Cristin Milioti, they built the story and the mythos really well in a tight movie, i went into this movie not knowing of the premise and that opening caught me off guard, absolutely loved it!
