didn't know it was a remake until after watching it. seems a bit unnecessary to make.  it kept my attention, and i love how everything was in the dispatch centre, but it was too predictable. from first getting to know the little brother was a baby sleeping, i just had a feeling. kinda ruined the movie a bit. also the main character is so unlikeable, being played by jake gyllenhaal doesnt help (swiftie tw) hate seeing men yell

Such a tense thriller. I was surprised by how emotional it made me considering that there was only one main character that we ever saw and the setting did not change throughout the entire movie. I suppose that’s what good writing and a good performance can do though.

i think jake gyllenhaal did a great job, but i dont understand WHY this was remade, basically, shot for shot ??? i watched them back to back and it felt like a waste of time like Psycho (1960) and Psycho (1998). Antoine Fuqua needs to just focus on originals, he's a solid director !

A movie that only has one setting can bore tons of watchers, but not this one. The Guilty manages to keep you hooked onto the screen as Joe, the main character, deals with an extreme family crisis. It’s emotional, powerful, and also has a great twist.
