ok movie. sci-fi horror has never been my favourite but sometimes it works. the cgi here is quite aged and bad but yknow, whatever. there also some really shallow badly done religious/christian/cult commentary. it works fine as a tv movie, but don't expect anything too much. the ending is the only significant part of this, and its very fucked up and made me sick !!! mostly as a parent. probably wouldn't have gaf at all before 4 years ago honestly. there's very little emotional depth to any of the characters, but what can you expect from a stephen king story. also, there's some weird racial dynamics and writing of black people here, but again, that's just stephen king. gotta do what he's gotta do I guess. <b>part of: </b> <i><a href="https://boxd.it/BVUTk">challenge: HORROR x 52 [2025] </a> </i><blockquote>31. Very cool concept with a weak leading actor and some bad special effects. Could be redone for a much better film.
