bom pra caralho. depois que eu vi a "interpretação oficial", tive um grande mind blowing, mas queria deixar oq pensei de primeira: eu tava interpretando talvez como a representação de uma pessoa que não consegue impor limites, e que a casa seria uma simbologia disso. a casa é o seu interior, e vc (no começo do filme) vai simplesmente aceitando todo mundo que invade seus limites, sendo manipulado ou convencido por quem supostamente te ama (o marido). aos poucos esses limites vão sendo cada vez mais ultrapassados, e vc não consegue se posicionar pra impedir. até que chega uma hora em que vc desperta e tenta reagir, mas já se anulou tanto durante o processo que se sente incapaz de retomar o controle de tudo outra vez. o nome "mãe" viria justamente dessa ideia de que é comum romantizarem a figura materna como alguém que sempre consegue continuar amando, que sempre cabe mais um, que sempre perdoa. mas talvez, na verdade, isso não aconteça necessariamente por amor, e sim porque ela foi condicionada a aceitar cada vez mais coisas sem conseguir recusar. mas a interpretação oficial é foda demais.

fucking masterpiece “I gave you everything. You gave it all away”. crying. Her husband's the most selfish pig I've ever come across. She gave him everything, and he loved that she did. We are the shittiest creatures to walk this planet.  This one also had the floodgates on repeat. I've unironically been crying all movie because of how beautiful she is but especially at 1:10:41 . She's drop dead stunning. I'm at a loss of words at how lovely her smile was after finally getting some love from her husband. Also why'd I cry because she was finally getting some action after being ignored for so long??? oh my days 1:22:05 watergates again shes crying for the millionth time this movie was fucking great but oh so miserable at the same time. edit: oopsies I didn't actually say anything of value to how I found this movie. This surely was a controversial watch for many. The first two parts kept me hooked but the third act of the film was tough. It was disturbing. I cried a lot seeing her baby taken from her and then butchered. I cried when they kicked her, insulted her, and completely disregarded her right after she lost her child. There is no respect for mother nature. Oh no, not at all. And while that last scene could have been less brutal, it’s portrayed so strongly so that you see the extent to how people are hurting her. This movie couldn't have shown it more clearly. It's a cycle, right after she passes he has another wife. This will happen again. It's a cycle. edit 2: I realize that a lot of people hated how aggressive this was. While it was tough to watch, it's also a gut punching reminder to how little regard people have for Mother Nature. It's dramatic and aggressive, it screams at you. It kicks at you till you fully fucking understand it and then kicks at you some more. It was never meant to be easy. From creatures entering her home to them ruining it with little to no regard, it's a screech from Earth. It's a beg and sob for help. Tough watch but it portrays the metaphor of mother nature so well, whether we like it or not.
