Slow runner

While agreeing with <i>Ridley Scott</i> who has been quoted saying that "the movie is too long", <b>Blade Runner 2049</b> is still miles ahead of his prior version of the story, plot wise. Unlike the prequel, <b>Blade Runner 2049</b> has a strong backbone when it comes to storytelling. Unreservedly demolishing the overdone trope of "The Chosen One", <i>Denis Villeneuve's</i> movie suggests that sometimes just doing the right thing at the right time, is the most noble thing that a human (/Replicant) can do. Borrowing from Jesus of Nazareth chronicles, we eventually learn that <i>K</i> is not the marvel the replicant world was promised but he is in fact John the Baptist and just like John, as he decides to act on his own morals, he bleeds to his death alone. <i>K</i> and his journey towards self-identification, prove that even the treasured memories that we hold onto just to verify our idiosyncratic existence, are all altered... Shaped in a particular way to relate to our state of mind on the exact moment in which we recall them. On this account, when memories turn into holographs of reality (just like <i>Presley</i>'s video played on the background of <i>K </i>& <i>Deckard</i>'s fighting) and when our souls are literally taken away from us, what makes us human? I guess It always boils down to the choices that we make. p.s. Do I need to talk about <i>Roger Deakins</i>' magic? naah, I think by now we all know that we're at the presence of a god. <b>× Best Line: </b>Sometimes to love someone, you got to be a stranger.

O plot em cima do plot 😯 Acho tão lindo a estetica e cinematografia desse filme!

One of the best looking films ever made. The cinematography was exceptional! It helps that this film is Cyberpunk which is easily one of the best looking/most aesthetic genres in media - absolutely love it. Even though I was pretty confused most of the film until the end, I still really enjoyed it, and loved almost all the characters (even the ones who barely had any screen time or weren't really supposed to). Dennis V is just so good at this stuff!

Some nice visual effects but not a real sci-fi.. slow and boring.
