Very classy with great emotion. Even though it's the world war, the most gripping part of it all is the mysterious woman and her story and when that's revealed, it's the chemistry between the three main characters that keeps it alive. Not to mention the amazing photography that lets the lead acting trio to play the audience in every frame possible to achieve the maximum emotional effect.

On a personal level I still don't really connect with this movie, especially at the end I can feel I'm supposed to feel something and I don't. On a technical level, though, the movie is amazing. It looks incredible. It's crazy this came out in 1942, I can imagine a lot of people who watched this movie at the time were going to similar events. I think this movie will grow on me and I can really appreciate it for the masterpiece it is but I have to be honest with myself and in the end I didn't feel the love for it as much as most people do.

Me doing that DiCaprio point at the TV meme every time they say one of the memorable lines. I would die for Sam. What great dude. I don't think Ilsa knows what "humming" means. Ethical non-monogamy would have fixed several of these problems. Not the Nazi stuff... But the other bits.
