A pure "Rock" movie with a super human touch and bad backstories.
Story points are just so poorly written, the "inspiring" parts made it even worse. And full of under developed characters with one liner backstories. Truly there's nothing to invest in the film and the film itself doesn't even try. Everything just happens. Even the action had little to zero setup.
But from a comics fan perspective, there are exciting things to look for. Especially the action, MOS styled, brutal for a PG-13 film, sort of action. And every member of JSA gets their unique styles portrayed so beautifully in the live action form. Not to mention the costumes, Hawkman's banter, Dr. Fate's voice when he's on his suit, are all just so damn perfect.
And the mid credits, you can watch the entire movie just for that and what it means.
Overall, it's a popcorn flick, one for the theatres and nothing to care for.
A really fun movie. Some pretty cool world building for the DC universe. There was bad acting throughout the film and some of the pacing was terrible. Cameo at the end was absolutely epic though.
For a movie called "Black Adam" i felt there wasn't enough of Black Adam, it should have been called "The JSA featuring Black Adam" or "JSA vs Black Adam"
Good movie. It was entertaining. Didn't feel like 2 hours long.
Dr. Fate was fantastic.
I underestimated hawkman. He can go 1 on 1 with Black Adam.
Cyclone and atom smasher were unnecessary. I would love to watch more of justice society.
