Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight (2022) — 6.5/10 ⭐ Maybe it’s just me, but the main character’s acting was pretty weak — same goes for Hina. They did improve in the second half. The plot itself was good and had potential, but it really needed stronger performances to make it hit harder. Maybe I just expected more after seeing better movies in the same genre. A decent story that could’ve been great with better acting.

Atonement

Atonement (2008) — 8/10 ⭐ First of all — F** Briony.* 🖕🏻 The movie is beautifully acted and the story is powerful from start to finish. The chemistry between the leads, the visuals, and the emotional weight all hit perfectly. You really get pulled into the tragedy of misunderstanding and guilt. I kinda wish they removed the part where the older Briony starts talking — it breaks the immersion a little. But then again, this is Briony’s story, and that ending is what makes the whole film sting even more. A heartbreaking, stunning piece of cinema — and one that’ll leave you mad, sad, and speechless all at once.
