I had little expectations. It has the ridiculous action scenes like the film, and the "bad" guys are not arabs or muslims (about time! sooo many films and series in the las 20 years, now) and are as simple minded as in the film, too. Frankly, the original was awesome because of the script, not because off the plot. :-)
But, having James Cameron himself as an executive producer made me think it could be better. I is, in a sense; but not as good as it could be. It's entertaining, just do not excpect too much.
The self-references to the film throughout the episodes are like easter eggs chasing. :-)
