Overall a good show. it is just weird that it goes from a SoA wanna-be show to pretty much a straight up cowboy/family drama. Season 1 has too much of the car gets a flat tire, the car rolls over and explodes type of events in it and too many things happen that the consequence are just ignored. Season 2 was a much better focused and action packed season though without too much of the fake events/drama. It also has a good ending to the season. Season 3 is mostly spent setting up season 4 and a lot of filler episodes but does play good as it keeps a fairly type focus on the family and workers. Season 4 was great if you wanted to watch actors ride around on horses and pretend to be cowboys. The season did very little to move the main story forward, but instead it focused on jimmy for what 70% of the story line. that was a fail. And what is the deal with the Indian voodoo?? Season 5 had a lot more cowboy/family and it finishes that way. mostly a great cast, great premise and location. The story writing is a bit weak, at least in season 1. Compared it Sons of Anarchy but it isn't even close. Not sure if it is the writing or the acting, but the Jamie character is just horrible. want to fast forward every time he is on the screen. Monica gets relegated to the background as it goes which is a good thing.
