This felt a bit overrated. The MC wasn't as endearing as was intended, but the supporting cast was a bit more charming which saved it from being a total loss. This is a classic anime where no one ever gets to the point. Everybody talks around "the thing" (whatever it happens to be at the time), and they either just stop mid sentence, or completely abandon the conversation like it never happened. It feels more like an adult projecting their feelings back onto their high school life, than an organic set of feelings and circumstances for teenagers. Lots of hand wringing of course, which is fine, but it just felt empty by the time it finished. Mostly likable cast, good character design and artwork. Could have been so much more.
