IMDB says, "Fans consider this episode the worst episode of the entire series." (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0589741/trivia?item=tr4217915) I'm split on that point, personally. As a _Golden Girls_ episode, it makes zero sense—the plot revolves around a character we've never seen before, and never will see again. But if one ignores the series title, it's perfectly good television. Not _amazing_, but solid. I don't understand why the pilot of an entirely new show got shoehorned in as a season finale here, but I'm choosing to rate this episode independently of its association with _The Golden Girls_ (and will therefore exclude it from my average rating for the season).
