Walter Nickel (born 1941 in Upper Silesia) is a German actor. Nickel rose to prominence through his appearances in the *Tatort* series. In the *Tatort* productions produced by the MDR, he played—alongside Peter Sodann and Bernd Michael Lade—the initially nameless, recurring role of the forensic technician Walter.
