Yermek Bektasuly Shinarbayev (Kazakh: Ермек Бектасұлы Шынарбаев; born 24 January, 1953; Alma-Ata) is a Soviet and Kazakh film director. Shinarbaev is sometimes categorized as a member of the Kazakh New Wave.
