Mohamed Meziane Yala, commonly known as Meziane Yala, was born in 1946 in El Kseur, in the wilaya of Bejaïa. After studying cinema in Lodz, Poland, he became an intern in the Rai television studios in Italy, before embarking on a rich and exciting career entirely dedicated to directing.
