Leya Hale is an American filmmaker and producer from the Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota and Diné Nations born and raised in the Los Angeles area. She studied radio television and film at California State University, Fullerton in Orange County, and earned a graduate degree in American Indian Studies from the University of South Dakota.
