Jochen Rindt (April 18, 1942 – September 5, 1970) was an Austrian racing driver and the only driver to be awarded the Formula 1 World Championship posthumously. Born in Mainz, Germany, Rindt moved to Austria at a young age, where he developed his passion for motorsport.
