Props to Lee Cronin on his re-imagination of "The Mummy" although it does reek of Evil Dead Rise. My main issues however, is the number of plot holes and inconsistencies in the story. Cronin seems to love cutting during suspenseful moments straight into a peaceful, calm scene to create a stark contrast. I found that frequently, this creates large plot holes that left me questioning. One of the largest of course, during the wake scene. I understand that things pick up from there, but the level of isolation feels as though it would no longer be possible.

It has some creepier moments that kept me entertained. It's nothing ground breaking but worth checking out.

Glad I didn't expect much from this one. The idea is actually good, but the development is extremely weak. The movie leans on grief as an excuse(?) for the characters' stupidity.

I just watched this while scrolling TikToks on my phone, that's how engaging it is lol. No where near there level of the original classic Mummy Series.

I´m usually not one to have an issue with gore, but this was another level. This literally made my stomach turn and i had too look away a couple of times because i literally felt like i was gonna throw up 😅 I think we can definilty state that someone has a foot fetish going on seeing the amount of disturbing feet scenes troughout the movie. It was defenitly not what i had expected but it did have A LOT of similarities with Evil Dead Rises , which was a great movie but since its not a followup of Evil Dead i wish there would have been a bit less similarities.

Think Pet Sematary but set in Egypt, wrapped in ancient bandages and drenched in blood. Scaling a legendary pharaoh's curse down to a disgusting, hyper-intimate family tragedy made for some wonderfully nasty body horror.
