Started out very promising, loved the idea of having to keep a secret for 200 years and passing it on (amazing scene by the way, as the years count down and you see the hands age while passing on the case).
But overall it never really got me very excited, I think there was more potential and as I understood from reviews, the book has much more depth to it.
Still an enjoyable movie, especially for a younger audience, I'd think.
Just watched this after years of having on my watch list, and it was fantastic! Sairoise Ronan is always incredible.
Sadly it's highly unlikely but would love a sequel film or show showing what happened in the 10 plus years since they returned to the surface.
Seeing as Mortal Instruments (another super underrated movie) got a new series, there is always hope.
