the movie's intended runtime was 100 minutes but there was bad business with the Italian producer. Cinecitta kidnapped some film rolls until the French paid their share of this Latvia/France/Italy co-production but the French producer went bankrupt in the meantime...So Guy Gilles was forced to make a 70 minutes edit with the rolls he had and allegedly he also rushed off the French dubbing.
