The best way I can describe this is <i>The Purge</i> with werewolves. This really wasn’t all that bad. It was a fun movie, but a feels a little… pointless. For such a big crisis occurring in this world, and the roles that the characters play, what they actually accomplish feels extremely unimportant. A movie like this feels like there should be some big scientific breakthrough with the way it was set up, but instead it’s another rescue-the-family storyline. Also, the ending was terrible. I mean, it was literally just Frank Grillo standing there with his shirt off.
I don't understand the hate that this movie is getting. It is an amazing masterpiece? No. BUT it is entertaining and fun. I appreciate that they didn't rely on CGI. Would I watch it again? Probably not, but it is far from being as terrible as everyone is making it sound.
