The thing with <b>Election</b> is that you never know what you're in for and in this case, it's not a commendation. The movie stands wobbly on one leg and hops on the other whenever it feels like it. Character developments (or lack there of) don't need a tangible reasoning because who's counting, right? There's clearly an attempt to draw parallels between the story's narrative and American politics but the painting is defective and half-done.
Probably the worst Alexander Payne's film I've ever seen.
