There are some intense scenes in this movie. Very dark, but a very amazing mystery. Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara are great individually, but feel a little weird when intimate together. Probably the 17-year age difference...
7 for a book reader, 8 for a non book reader. From a non book perspective, solid thriller. Fincher does his work with his angles, music and shot framing. I think he did his best with the source material available. He doesn't beat us on the head with some plot twists and it is pretty sick and twisted.
Book reader perspective - Some of the changes were just unnecessary? I can understand dropping random plot points which weren't relevant but the way the twist is revealed has been changed while it adds nothing. The source material is great but it's just not a very adaptable to movie type of material. Lot of nothing in between.
