a visually stunning movie that was ruined by its pretentious and unnecessary narration. <i>James Gray</i> could've easily told his story by shots that were provided to him by the immensly talented <i>Hoytema, </i>but he somehow concluded that <i>Pitt</i>'s decades-long widely praised acting skills were not potent enough and decided to add grandious voice-overs that took the movie way more seriously than it should've been taken. <b>× Best Line: </b>Now we know. We're all we've got.

Visualmente o filme é muito lindo, não tem o que reclamar! Os efeitos são perfeitos na minha opinião, sem contar também a atuação. Agora, sobre o enredo em si não posso dizer o mesmo. Pra falar a verdade esperava que fosse um filme com mais ação, mas ele é super lento e introspectivo. Foca muito mais nos sentimentos do personagem do que essa jornada que ele teve, além também de achar alguns plots bem fracos... Enfim, não é um filme ruim, longe disso mas se eu tivesse assistido com outras expectativas talvez tivesse gostado mais.

to be honest i loved this movie and didn’t feel it was slow for a second. beautiful photography and narration, just stunning visuals and great message behind it. totally recommend if you want to literally feel ~in space~ for a couple of hours, with all the silence, contemplating and up and downs that this entails.

In the most recent years we had Gravity, Interstellar, The Martian, First Man and compared to them Ad Astra feels really weak. Brad Pitt’s performance can’t save alone this empty movie. Not a bad one, but not good either
