Directed by <i>Reitman</i> who gave birth to a fun movie like <i>Juno</i>, <i>Tully</i> is a movie about motherhood and its many struggles. Charlize Theron gained 30 lbs for this role just so that she could fit the part of a helpless mother who's trapped in a never ending cycle of exhaustion and postpartum depression. <i>Tully</i> doesn't shy away from the realities of missing the one you were before you became responsible for other people's lives & dreams. <i>Marlo</i> is still very much a woman in need of leisure, help and ambition but the world (and a husband that unpurposely expects her to take care of everything) have taken all of that away from her. <i>Reitman</i> reminds mothers that it's ok to miss their <i>Tully</i> era of life, when they were a 20 something year old who was weirdly carefree, energetic, chatty and had time to go for drinks at midnight in Brooklyn. It's ok to not be ok sometimes. <b>× Best Line: </b>If I had a dream that didn't come true, I could at least be pissed off at the world. Instead I'm just pissed off at myself.
