Ju-a, a 15-year-old girl born and raised in Chuncheon, a small tourist town in Gangwon Province, spends her summer vacation swimming with her friends during the day and helping her mother, who runs an old restaurant, at night. Then, one day, a massive typhoon hits her hometown, and the statue, the town's landmark, disappears.
